Overview
Injection molding produces plastic parts by injecting molten material into a steel or aluminum mold. After the one-time tooling investment, it delivers consistent parts at a low cost per unit — the standard process for consumer products and device enclosures.
The most expensive mistakes in molding happen before steel is cut. We focus on DFM review, mold specification and sample approval so that tooling is right the first time.
What We Can Make
- Product housings and enclosures
- Clips, buttons, knobs and small components
- Overmolded parts — soft-touch grips, seals
- Insert-molded parts — threaded inserts, metal pins
- Clear parts — lenses, light guides, windows
- Consumer product components
Materials
| Material | Typical properties / use |
|---|---|
| ABS | Housings, good finish and impact strength |
| PC / PC-ABS | Tough enclosures, higher temperature |
| PP | Living hinges, chemical resistance, low cost |
| PA6 / PA66 (+GF) | Structural, wear-resistant parts |
| POM | Gears, sliding parts, low friction |
| TPE / TPU | Soft-touch overmolds, seals |
| PMMA | Transparent parts, light guides |
Resin brand, grade, color and flame rating (e.g. UL94) are specified per project.
Manufacturing Process
- DFM review — draft angles, wall thickness, ribs, gates, undercuts, parting lines.
- Mold specification — steel grade, cavities, hot/cold runner, expected mold life.
- Tooling — mold design approval, then mold manufacturing.
- T1 samples — first shots for measurement and functional testing.
- Corrections & approval — tool tuning, texture, color until samples are approved.
- Production — controlled to the approved golden sample, with inspection and packing.
Applications
- Consumer electronics and smart-home devices
- IoT sensor and gateway enclosures
- Pet products and accessories
- Sports and outdoor gear components
- Automotive accessories
- Educational products and kits
Quality Control
Quality checks are agreed before production starts and tied to your drawing, sample or specification — not to a generic checklist.
- Mold design review before steel cutting
- T1/T2 sample dimensional report and functional test
- Golden sample approval and retention
- In-process checks for short shots, flash, sink marks and color
- Pre-shipment inspection based on agreed sampling plan (e.g. AQL)
See how we approach inspection across all projects on our quality control overview.
Customization
- Surface textures (e.g. VDI / MT standards) and polish levels
- Custom colors and color matching (Pantone / RAL)
- Pad printing, silk screening, laser marking
- Ultrasonic welding and assembly
- Custom packaging and labeling
