IoT Hardware

IoT hardware manufacturing in China — connected device development, PCBA, enclosures, provisioning and testing for sensors, gateways and smart devices.

IoT Hardware

Overview

IoT hardware combines sensors, a microcontroller or SoC, wireless connectivity, power management and an enclosure — and it must work reliably in the field. Manufacturing adds challenges such as RF performance, device provisioning and test coverage.

We help hardware teams move connected devices from prototype to repeatable production: design review, supplier coordination, enclosure manufacturing, PCBA, firmware loading and testing.

What We Can Make

  • Wireless sensors — environmental, motion, asset tracking
  • Gateways and hubs
  • Smart-home devices
  • Wearables and trackers
  • Industrial monitoring devices
  • Connected pet products

Materials

Typical connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, LoRa, Zigbee, NB-IoT / LTE-M and 4G, usually via pre-certified modules to simplify certification. Enclosures are commonly ABS, PC or PC-ABS, with gaskets for IP-rated designs.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Architecture & DFM review — module choice, antenna placement, battery, enclosure sealing.
  2. Prototype builds — PCBA and 3D printed or machined enclosures.
  3. Validation — RF, power consumption, environmental and drop tests as specified.
  4. Tooling for production enclosures.
  5. Pilot run with firmware flashing and provisioning.
  6. Production with functional and RF test.

Applications

  • Smart agriculture and environmental monitoring
  • Asset tracking and logistics
  • Smart home and building automation
  • Predictive maintenance sensors
  • Connected consumer products

Quality Control

Quality checks are agreed before production starts and tied to your drawing, sample or specification — not to a generic checklist.

  • Firmware version control and flashing verification
  • Functional test including connectivity check
  • Power consumption spot checks
  • Enclosure sealing checks for IP-rated designs (when specified)
  • Label, serial number and packaging verification

Customization

  • Custom enclosure design and branding
  • Unique IDs, QR labels and device provisioning
  • Battery and charging options
  • Mounting accessories

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Should I use a pre-certified wireless module?

For most small and medium volumes, yes. Pre-certified modules significantly reduce RF certification effort. A chip-down design can reduce unit cost at high volume but requires more engineering and testing.

Can you load firmware and device credentials during production?

Yes, firmware flashing and provisioning steps can be built into the production test process when you provide the tools and procedure.
